Afrobeat Funk Jazz

Sarbakul Afrobeat Collective is a group of musicians based in the South Landes / Basque Country, whose powerful rhythms and captivating melodies will transport you to sunny horizons.

Formed in 2019 by a group of passionate musicians, Sarbakul Afrobeat Collective fuses the traditional sounds of Africa with the modern influences of Afrobeat, creating a unique and irresistible blend. Their music is a call to dance, celebration and social awareness.

The name "Sarbakul" has its origins in the Malagasy language, meaning "the little doll that walks" and symbolizing the diversity and unity of the members of the collective. Each musician brings their own musical color and cultural heritage, creating a rich and dynamic harmony.

Sarbakul Afrobeat Collective's performances on stage are energetic and captivating. Their percussive rhythms, supported by a lively horn section, create a festive and electrifying atmosphere. The engaging lyrics address themes such as love, unity, freedom and social justice, reflecting the band's deep commitment to social consciousness and the fight for a better world.

With their critically acclaimed first EP, "Gou Nya Fyé", Sarbakul Afrobeat Collective made an impact by exploring new sounds and offering original compositions that skillfully mix African traditions and modernity.

It is a collective of enthusiasts who share a common vision: to spread joy, love and social awareness through their intoxicating music.
